AxonRF Introduces the nowire Wireless Network!
The growing wave toward green, sustainable living and working environments is fueling a huge demand for state of the art lighting, and environmental control and monitoring systems.
In order to address this demand a great deal of progress has been made in the creation of low power consumption, reliable and relatively inexpensive electronic components specifically for purpose.
These monitoring and control systems often require a large number of devices to interact on a real-time or near real-time basis. In the past this has been done by wired networks.
These wired systems can be difficult to install, maintain and troubleshoot. In addition, they are inherently inflexible. Once installed and configured it is extremely time consuming and expensive to modify or upgrade them.
The obvious solution is to go wireless. Unfortunately, until recently the options for reliable, low power, microprocessors and transceivers have been very limited.
Fortunately, times are changing. One of the biggest breakthroughs has been the adoption of an international standard for wireless networking of control and monitoring devices. The IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networking standard defines hardware and network protocol standards enabling all compliant products to intercommunicate. This has opened the door for numerous electronics manufactures to offer various compliant components and products.
AxonRF has spent the last several years watching the trends and identifying the best IEEE 802.15.4 component manufacturers.
Now, AxonRF has combined the best of the best of these components with our background in software development to create nowire products.
